Hello, today i've got 4 quails (3females -1male). Firstly they were stressed and didn't want to explore the cage but now they are walking, eating and drinking but one hen sits a lot, has problems with walking and closes her eyes when siting, like she was sleeping. When i got her out of the cage, on table to check her walking she was like limping/having problems with walking, but ate some feed i gave her and wanted to go to other quails. Her feathers look a bit worse than feathers of other three. I guess i'll wait till tomorrow, maybe she was stuck between other quails during transport and if she doesn't get better i'll probably isolate her with food, water and sand and give her some water with honey, lemon juice and salt (instead of electrolites, which i don't have). And she has problem with turning herself in place and when she stretches her leg and wing, she falls on the ground. Can someone help me? Those are my first quails and i'll have to keep them in basement until it's warm enought for better, outdoor hutch.

Keep her warm. Can you see any injuries? Any swelling, scabs, or blood? Do you know how old she is?

Please don't feed her lemon juice. Citrus can be toxic to quail. Garlic is also not good for them. If you can find something like Save-a-chick or Nutri-drench, that would be much better.

She's in warm garage/basement. I didn't see anything. She didn't start laying yet, has small beak and nails. I didn't know about lemon juice.
Can i give her human electrolites? Or just water with sugar and a bit of salt?

Do you have molasses? A bit of molasses mixed with water is good.

What does her poop look like?
I have honey and maple syrup and sugar. No molasses. Idk how her poop looks like because they all have already pooped tha place.

@Nabiki actually most, if not all of them i noticed walk similiar - it's like they walk step by step, and sometimes sit. They like stomp the ground but not like scratching sometimes. But the catch is that when i took two of them on table they stood normally, but walked step by step too. Didn't sit. They tend to sit while on newspaper or on straw. Maybe it's either uncomfortable for them to walk on straw so they sit and have troubles or it's so comfortable they want to sit on it whole time? One on the table suddenly started running (ran normally, without stopping each step), and second one wanted to fly and landed on the ground. First time i saw them flying. Maybe they are still stressed from new place? When i got new chickens and there were no other chickens, they stayed in coop for some days and only some individuals were going out a few hours later?
