New rescues

Hey all! My local animal control called me with 3 new birds. They are a lot fancier than what I have now. Any ideas on what they may be?

The first 2 appear to be Old English Game Bantam cockerels/cocks and the last one looks to be an Old English Game Bantam pullet/hen.

The roos look like they're bigger than OEGBs. Their coloring is mixed as well. I'm gonna say they're mixes, probably with OEGB or American game in them somewhere.

Do you quarantine new birds? If so, I'd be curious about how you go about it. We have two rescued roos in quarantine right now, and I can only hope I am doing it right.

Does your AC charge you to take birds?

My animal control does not charge for any animal. I have listed a pot belly pig in the locals for free after they couldn't find a home after a month.

We fixed an old rabbit hutch during the last hurricane that I'll use this time. It has 2 sections and stays in the big barn under a shop fan. After that, I have a dog cage I put in the coop for introductions for a few days. I transition the newbie into a temporary outdoor pen that attaches to the coop before letting them free range.

I can't say if this is 100 percent correct. We are new to chickens (just bought the farm in May) and are learning as we go!

I'm in Florida about 45 minutes north of West Palm Beach.

By the time I pick them up today they will have been quarantined for a week. They looked healthy with clear eyes and nostrils and I'll keep them in the separate barn for at least 2 additional weeks. You don't know the history on abandoned birds so I err on the side of caution. I have heard some people quarantine 30 days to 6 weeks.
