I understand the importance of statistical analyses in studies like this, but it does lead to sections in which there are more numbers and codes than words and the 'text' looks more like a cipher than English; sadly, very offputting even for those interested in the topic.
I found this to be true for me too. Health food I tend to not over eat.About 2 months ago, I made radical changes to what I eat... essentially, no UPF at all although that wasn't the purpose of the changes. This is after months/years of gradually moving toward less UPF - sort of because they are UPF.
Yesterday, I ate what I'm sure has a lot of UPF's. I noticed a drastic change in how I ate. I recognized that I was not interested in stopping even though I wasn't hungry anymore - was even a bit uncomfortably full. This hadn't happened in a very long time; so long that it felt strange although I remember doing it quite a lot before the changes. I enjoy the food we've been eating, at least as much as any other way I've eaten, but I don't keep eating it like this.
I don't think I'm explaining very well. I didn't do this with any such expectations. I brought ds food from a favorite fast food restaurant that isn't near where he now lives. Of course I knew it was essentially junk food but I wasn't trying to see effects or any such thing.
Same. DS is in high school. His friends had a heated debate over the best fast food place. He said he had only ever had McDonald’s and he was very small and didn’t remember it. The school has taken field trips where they stop at rest stops, and he will pack his own lunch if there isn’t a Panera available there (the only semi-healthy “fast food” place he will consider eating from.) Tells them they can do what they want, but he prefers to eat real food.I stopped eating UPF decades ago. When I'm forced to eat UPF, it disgusts me. I can't eat it and I fail to understand how the heck everyone else find that stuff appealing. Last time I got dragged by other people to McDonald's, I skipped the meal. Potatoes tasted like an old truck oil change, and the hamburger tasted like rotten egg to me.
Last day I was traveling and I had a thirst emergency, only sodas were available. I found them so sweet, they made my thirst even worse and I got sick from it. How can people drink that stuff? They taste like poison to me!
