New RIR parent

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I'd start looking for another coop. RIRs need about 4 sq ft per bird in the coop and at least another 12 sq ft in the run. I don't know of a pre-fab coop that offers that. And RIRs are very strong personality birds that can get pretty nasty about their space, but that can be said about most chickens in cramped quarters.

They may be, and I’m ready to let them, but we haven’t even broken ground on the coop yet, lol. We may end up expanding the space, but we’ve got to make at least the prefab’s dimensions impenetrable vs. the many, many predators around here. :)
