Hi, my name is Tricia and I am a newbie to the chicken world!!! I live in Trion Ga., that's far from you!!! I am at the end of my rope!! My chickens are NOT laying at all!! I have tried everything I know how!! I changed their laying mesh to 22%. I placed a light in the coup. I give them oats, and vegs. and lots of grass!! I only have five chickens right now and my coup is 48 square feet, so I know it's not to small!! They are eight months old, so I know they should be laying. I even tried a cuttlebone. I've tried the golf ball in the nest, and no luck!! I even tried pinning them up in the coup at night and waiting untill noon to let them out. They get fresh water twice a day and a clean yard and coup daily!!! What am I doing wrong? Can you please help me????
