New rooster here.

Western Connecticut.
Don't have my chickens yet, but am 2/3rds of the way through constructing a 6' X 8' coop inside of a former dog run.
I started with honeybees two years ago, and around April 1 we will be getting six started pullets. Going with two Buff Orpingtons, two Welsummers, and two Easter Eggers.
My neighbors are excited at the prospect of fresh eggs...

I was handler of dogs myself glad you joined us Welcome from Washington state here

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your coop build or flock [when they arrive] you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

:welcome

I like the mix of breeds you've selected! BO's are known to be good natured, friendly and good broodies. Welsummers lay beautiful brown speckled eggs. And with EE you don't know what you'll get until the first eggs show up. You'll have a pretty egg basket some day!
