New rooster just showed up...

Which is fine, I have 28 hens with only one rooster and been thinking for awhile I could use another. Usually things you wish for don't just show up in your backyard... Young rooster, can't figure out breed. Silver laced Wyandotte (color) mixed with americauna (beard) was my first thought, but that comb doesn't match either. He's not very big, but bigger than bantam.

Does he have muffs? It looks like it in the photo. He might be an Easter Egger cross.

Yes he does. I guess they come in all colors, it's the single comb that's throwing me off. I've been hearing him crow for a few days, couldn't figure out what neighbors got chickens. Honestly, I think someone had an unwanted roo and saw my chickens and dropped him off on the road over the weekend. He's not ppl friendly, but didn't freak out when I went in the coop to get his picture.

Probably not... I'm in mid to southeast Michigan. Rural but close to Flint, 100 miles north of Detroit

That's what I figured. Just thought I'd post to confirm. His name is cottoneye Joe... Where did you come from? Where did you go... Since I have no clue where he came from

He is pretty! And small enough not to hurt my petite white leghorns...
