No matter how you go about it, they choose you. Go to the Humane Society for a dog or cat, or other animal, and I guarantee you'll come home with the one who picked you.

I usually don't have to go anywhere... Ducks, frozen birds, dogs, cats and now a rooster... All seem to find me right where I am.

I did get to pick out 6 new chicks this spring. Chicken math... And I needed blue chickens...

Probably not... I'm in mid to southeast Michigan. Rural but close to Flint, 100 miles north of Detroit

I had two roos and one hen go off about 2 weeks ago. I'm sure they were delicious to some predator.
