New Rooster

I have some 1 year old hens, laying great... Just got a Rooster today... How long before the eggs will be fertile, assuming Brooster the Rooster is doing his job

you hens might beat the stuffing out of him if he trys anything. have they been introduced or did ya just put them in the coop together chickens are territorial

They are getting along just fine.. He has mounted a few already.. Just wondering how long until the egg tract will be fertile ?

Sure wish you had quarantined that rooster for a month before allowing him in with your hens.

That is a must to keep disease out of your flock.

If he's doing the job properly, you should have fertile eggs in two to three days time, I'd think.
