The best feed for growing birds is an 18 or 20% duck grower. If you are feeding them chick grower, be sure to provide a niacin supplement! If they are mature an 18-20% maintenance or all flock chicken or duck feed will do the trick as long as they have a calcium supplement, like free choice oystershell. Most people advise against lay feed, because it can cause calcium overdosage or liver failure in non-laying birds.

Thank you for the information!! And yes all four will be laying!! So will layer feed still be ok? I use organic layer crumbles and looking into a feed called peck and scratch...didn’t know if you have heard of that

Layer feed is okay, just be aware any non-laying birds may experience long term negative effects!
