I like to give my A&Ms meal worms about once a week and have noticed a behavior that is comical. The roos will not eat the worms, they pick them up and start to giggle until one of the hens comes and takes it out of their beak. I thought I had one roo and five hens until I started to notice a bald " hen " doing the giggle and giving of the worm. If hens don't normally give up the meal worm could I use this as a decent way of sexing them without violating them ( vent sexing )? Just a thought. Let me know what ya think, thanks, Steve.
