New Silkie Fanatic from Alabama!

Hello everyone! I have been lurking this site for years and now I am finally able to have my own chickens so I joined.

I purchased a splash silkie cockerel, a blue pullet and a splash pullet this weekend and am very excited about them. I hope to show them soon. I am from Roanoke, Alabama. I purchased my cockerel from Ann Ray @ Mountain Creek Farm and my pullets from Sunshine Silkies.

I would also like to get some baby chicks from show stock to raise. If anyone is local I'd love to see what you have! I love my chickens! I just like to sit and watch them scratch around. My daughter is 10 months old and is fascinated by them as well.
