I have one hen whose face looks different than the others. All are Black Australorp. She is 2 years old. I don't know how else to explain except her face looks puffy and maybe she has feathers growing on more of her face than the others. Thought?
Close ups are of hen being held, the other is of one of my other girls that looks normal.

Check her over for lice/mites and inside her ears for any infection. Look inside the beak for any canker.

Her face does look a little puffy, could be irritation from the feather growth if you don't find any other cause.

How is she acting?

Have you added any new birds recently?

No birds added unless you count the four her sister hatched but they are 4 months old and have been in the run since hatch.
I have just started giving them a treat of split peas, red pepper flakes, garlic, parsley, oregano, basil & corn.
She has had a poopy behind most of her life which has caused many of her bottom feathers to come out. But she acts normal. I just noticed her face looked puffy.

Can you see a small amount of gunk in the corner of her eye? If you do, you can flush the eye with saline or an eye wash. Then apply a small dab of Terramycin eye ointment into the eye 2-3 times a day.
