New silkie not fitting in

My silkies used to sleep outside as well, and we used to have to go out every night and bring them in. Eventually they figured it all out.
I have two silkie hens who are BFF’s, roost together and stick together. They are loose friends with my blue Ameraucana and my Icelandic.....those four sometimes flock together as they were raised together, but my silkies definitely prefer each other over anyone else

Hello, I was just given a silkie 2 days ago. I'm not sure how old it is but it looks to be around 8 weeks or younger....maybe. I have 5 RIR and 3 cornish bantams. The silkie isn't sleeping in the coop at night with the other chickens. It sleeps outside curled up by itself. Should I be concerned? I brought it inside the past 2 nights. Am I spoiling it?
How old are your current birds? Trying to integrate a lone bird into an established flock is often very difficult. Integrating a sole young juvenile is even worse and that doesn't even take account of the newbie being a sight-limited bantam.

You may be better off rehoming the new silkie to a home with docile bantams. Or building a new coop and getting him/her some new flockmates such as other silkies or bantam Cochins.

Ouch! that hurt, but yes it's quite true about silkies.
