New Silkie! Sex?

Honestly I was like "this Chicken Is mothering these babies."
I had them seperated for quarentine and this guy/girl kept pecking at the box and chirping everytime it heard the babies. I thought it was just lonely but now they snuggle together and sleep together and the 4 week olds actually try to sleep under the silkie who now about 11ish weeks.

I still won't name it because I want to be sure.

It is still a beautiful female ball of floof. With that close up of the comb, I have zero doubt.

That's a tough one, but I'm going to guess cockerel. But this one could go either way. I'm really 50/50.

Y'all what in the world! My husband just found this in the chick run. There are absolutely no Adults in there. I have 5 week old chicks & this 11 week old Silkie. I have never in my life heard of a chicken laying eggs this young.
