New "teenagers" molting?

I recently moved my 7 12-week old girls into the coop, and whenever I look inside the henhouse, there are quite a few feathers on the floor. I didn't think that young pullets molted...... could they be picking on each other? Also, is around 2lbs. a good size for a 12-week-old?

It's a juvenile molt. They go through it at that age as they get their adult feathers in. Totally normal.

From what I've read online, they will go through 3 molts in their first year.
