New to Backyard chickens! From Ortonville Mi

Hi there! I used to go on this site back in 2011. I just moved to my birth state, the beautiful Michigan, where this spring, we had all four seasons happen in one day! Hail, rain, sunshine and humidity, and even snow in the uppermost part of the state.

I love chickens, the noises they make, how they act, holding and hand feeding. I dream of raising blue egg layers, or Easter eggers, hopefully Americanas? and endangered and rare breed of chicken. I would love some Bantams, or different rare chickens.

I am currently searching for city ordinances in Ortonville Mi to see if I can have a chicken coop in the back yard.
