New to "backyard" farming in general. That said, can get all the help anyone is willing to give.

Have had the famous Easter Egg layers...but rehomed as not very compatible with our silkies. Looking for any suggestions for good egg layers that are sweet, not so broody, (we have a whole hen house of adorably broody silkies) fat or plump, not so good jumpers or flyers that will compliment our gentle silkies??? Glad to be part of a chicken expert forum. Thanks for having me!
