Absolutely! They love cooked or hard boiled eggs. Never feed them raw eggs. The males do not need the extra calcium from the shells, however when the females are laying, they sure can use it.

Ugh... My hens are taking forever to lay, I don't have the patience. I haven't seen any bonding or attempts to mate. I'm getting my hopes up and it ain't happening.

Speaking of which, I have a 6 year lone male out there right now screaming for a female!! I can't believe at this age he has any raging hormones left in him! I must have done something right with these last few quail. You are going to have to wait this out and see. They will mature when they are old enough and breed and lay when they are good and ready!

Bobwhites are in no hurry to grow up, that is for sure! Ha!
