New to bobwhite quail, and would like some info

Absolutely! They love cooked or hard boiled eggs. Never feed them raw eggs. The males do not need the extra calcium from the shells, however when the females are laying, they sure can use it.

Ugh... My hens are taking forever to lay, I don't have the patience. I haven't seen any bonding or attempts to mate. I'm getting my hopes up and it ain't happening. :hit

Spring has only just sprung. My Bobs aren't doing anything either yet, although they are all old as the hills. LOL

Do you know how old your birds are?

Not quite....one of the males got carded last night at the local Quail Pub.

Speaking of which, I have a 6 year lone male out there right now screaming for a female!! I can't believe at this age he has any raging hormones left in him! I must have done something right with these last few quail. LOL The pair aren't breeding or anything yet either but I did see them checking out a dark corner under the coop yesterday where there is a lot of grass hay. Right now they are warming their old aging bones in the greenhouse. Hot as heck in there with the sun on it. Ha!

You are going to have to wait this out and see. They will mature when they are old enough and breed and lay when they are good and ready! :)

Bobwhites are in no hurry to grow up, that is for sure! Ha!

Last night I heard my roo make the weirdest sound. It was really deep.
