Hi Everyone
We live on a 5 acre property near Echuca by the Murray river in Victoria Australia. My husband grew up on a farm nearby which had guinea fowl running wild, peacocks, chickens...you name it. He wanted Guinea fowl here too and since I love animals I readily agreed.
We were given 10 eggs about a month ago but only one hatched in the incubator. I called him humphrey!! He was adorable but died the next day after seemingly being healthy and full of life.
I understand this can happen but i was really sad so I decided to try again.
We bought 16 guineas from a farm nearby, all 12 weeks old. They are doing nicely in the chicken run/coup.
I was also given 20 eggs from the same farm, so am watching carefully right now....and they will be my first post....I have a few questions.
Luckily I found this forum online after spending hours googling answers to my questions....so thanks for existing coz I've already learnt a lot going through many posts. Information can be hard to find!
Look forward to participating and learning more!!!
