Hello!
My name is Danielle, I live in Hilliard, FL on a little piece of heaven with my fiance and our 1 year old son. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, so I'm still new to "country livin" but couldn't be happier with our desicion to get some chickens!

On 3/21/18 a friend gifted us our first two babies but wasn't sure exactly what breed they are. When we went to get supplies the next day at TS we bought 2 black sexlinks and 2 red sexlinks, so total we have 6 chicks (we believe they are all pullets but I'm starting to think one is a rooster)!
Now they are just about 6 weeks old and I'm loving every second of it.

Their names are:
Tony Hawk
Lemon (rooster?)
Hubble
Olive
Acorn
Early

I look forward to learning from you all and sharing.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens Danielle glad to have both join us We love photos
your bio was preeety good there

6-8 weeks is a good time to post individual photos of your chicks at "What breed or gender is this?" Folks there will sort them out for you. Welcome to Backyard chickens

I will definitely do so! I posted the one I'm not too sure if but after reading other threads I believe one of the two i was unsure of is an Easter Egger.

Thank you!

Great information, thanks so much!

Hi Danielle, WELCOME to BYC and being a chicken mom! You mentioned possible having a rooster. We are first timers to chickens as well. Ours are now a year old. We did not want a rooster, but out of the 6 chicks we bought, Mrs. Peeps grew up to be Scoops( in the photo with the sunglasses). He is super rooster. And actually has become our favorite. And we have discovered a rooster can provide much needed protection for the hens. BYC is such an awesome resource. Don't know what we would have done without it! Everyone here has been so helpful. Looking forward to your photos.
