New to BYC from MN

I have been getting great info from BYC for about a year and finally became a member. I started with chickens about a year ago and absolutely love them! Recently I have been losing my precious chickens to some kind of predators...I think foxes. I just ordered an automatic coop door as I work the pm shift and don't get home from work until after 11pm. Hopefully it will work!

Maybe a secure pen that you can leave the birds in when you are not home, free to go into the coop when they wanted, would be a good idea. Foxes can hunt during the day.

Yea, a secure pen is probably the best - I've heard hardware cloth works well. Good luck
