I recently bought a chicken coop (from my sister) that came with a flock of 21 hens and one rooster. This is my first time raising chickens! I have been reading and reading trying to find a way to help me determine which one is the rooster.
I have 5 Buff Orpington, 4 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 4 Australorp, 4 Production Reds, 4 of what I was told were Ameracana but I'm now thinking are Easter Eggers because of pictures I've seen on BYC
My sister thought one of the Australorps might be the rooster. But I haven't been able to find a single difference in those birds. I did notice that of the Wyandotte, 3 of them have a flat, bumpy looking comb and one has a comb that stands up...could it be?
