New to BYC!

I have a heated coop. I live at 95th and holmes. You can come by and check it out before you give them to me if you like. I do over the phone tech support, so im home most of the time.....

I an sad about not having them, I raised them from chicks but my i'm going to be grandmother for the first time and will want togo to Denver a lot this winter. I'm also very nervous about how to care for them in the winter. I have to work today but can get together toomorrow. Does everyone on BYC read this or just you.

Not everyone, no. Just the people that have replied to this thread. Keeping chickens in the winter is fairly easy depending on the breed. Heated coops arent really recommended, because if there is a power outage, they lose the heat that theyre accustomed to but it runs on solar and dont have to worry about power outages. Additionally, I dont want any frostbitten combs on my chickens. Roosters are more prone to it, but id rather not take the chance. If you decide to keep them and try the winter thing, I understand. My mom lives @ 117th and wornall and i think I know your house. Is it the one on the corner with the ducks and pond and goats? Everyone loves that house! You can also come visit whenever you like if you decide to give them to me. Personal message me with any address or phone # you want to share.. I'll shoot you a PM right now.

Just a heads up to @Maker and @5thliston48
