Thanks a bunch!
Welcome Meg to Backyard Chickens always like when people with allot experience join![]()
Thank you for the welcome! It doesn't seem like I've been doing it that long but I guess it adds up! Usually everything is pretty smooth, but when it's 20 below nobody on the farm is having fun. Luckily that stuff doesn't usually stick around too awful long. We are looking forward to spring, though!
Sometimes I wonder if rain would be any better? I've lived here my whole life, but me and winter do not get along. We've had a ton of snow this year, which is great for snow pack and fire season but...sometimes it's hard to remember that. Especially when everyone is running out of places to pile it.We have just dusting of snow here this year not enough to say we had any but a heck of allot of rain not unusual for us around here
I suppose you do get used to it, like anything. I love the rain here, but we don't get enough! Too bad we couldn't share a littleWe moved to Washington State back 1968 I was a child spent 16 or so years Juneau Alaska even more rain than here tired of the rain but kinda use to it now
waving hello from Broadwater County! where are you? lauraHa, ain't that the truth?? We also tend to adopt...some don't realize the challenges of chicken keeping through Montana winters. That, or they just don't want to deal with it! Thanks for the welcome!
