Thank you Teila! I have been pleasantly surprised by the warm welcomes from everyone. It's probably a good thing I found this place, as my family/friends/coworkers do tend to eye roll after this long haha. My mother still laughs when I regale her with stories of washing dirty chicken bums and quietly trying to snatch a chicken up who's looking at me with the left-eye-head-turned-up like "What the *cheep* is going on here?? She never chases us!"G’Day from down under MegWelcome!
I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.
You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.
If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out![]()
Thank you!

Oh, thanks so much. I understand that not everyone is like that or even can be (to each their own), but it's nice to find a kindred spirit! And someone that doesn't think I've completely lost my marblesWelcome! You had me at 'live out their lives on the farm'. Person of my own heart.
