New to chickens - alabama

Hi. I'm new to raising chickens and hope to learn how to keep my guys safe and happy. I have 1 rooster and 5 hens. Currently building them a nice house and have been using pictures I found on this site as a guide. I have plenty of questions but will start at the FAQ section before posting.
