New to Chickens and BYC

Yep we go through 15 dozen at least a month. I buy them in the 5.5 dozen cartons and we use 3 of them and sometimes more! We eat a lot of eggs. I make a lot of home cooked meals and my kids eat pancakes every morning for breakfast. That's a lot of eggs right there!

Where I live, 15doz eggs would cost us 45$ I get 20 per day with my older flock. Math being what it is, My other 3 flocks should give me a yield of............................spending 7.50 per month for 230 +/- eggs! This adds up to 6.228.0$ in my area. Lemmie talk to daddy, lol

I purchase my eggs at the local WalMart. 5.5 dozen eggs costs me about 9.00 so about 25 a month in eggs. And then count on top of that all the chicken we purchase too! Our local feed mill helped me weigh costs of feed as well as the neighbors and it will cost me about 10.00 a month for feed and we should get about 300 eggs!

Just ordered my chicks.
