here if anyway I could know if they are fertile/ developing?

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! I love incubating and hatching. It's so rewarding when you see the new life emerge into the world from the egg. My top tip would be double check your temps and humidity with a thermometer and hygrometer you know to be correct. If your incubator has been out in the shed and not used for a while it may be a little off. What incubator are you using?

At 36 hours there will be very little to see if anything at all from candling them. You would be best candling at day 7 when development should be visible in any viable eggs.

This article is a great read and my bible when it comes to incubating. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101
Lots of great infomation to be had from it on the process of incubation.

Wishing you the very best of luck with your eggs, I hope you have a great hatch.

Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow

400
it heats from the bottum and I have put some hay in with the eggs (was I right to?)
