Awesome job! What did the total cost end up being for that if you don't mind me asking. I build a lot of coops and always wonder if I'm spending too much on the build.

Your neighbors may be right about the rats and mice, but that only applies if you have a coop that's difficult to keep clean or if you have a situation where the chickens food is being spilled or is left out at night.

You've put a lot of work into that design and build, it looks like, and it looks like it would be easy to keep the chicken poo cleaned up (which the rats love to eat...eww.). Now just make sure the food goes into the chickens not the rats, and you're golden.

They look like my Golden Comet chicks. Great job on the coop. Mice? Just feeding the wild birds will bring mice. I say get more chicks!!! (just don't let my DH hear me.)
