New to chickens and still waiting....

Here is one of my 5 week old chicks

Here is the little roo at 31/2 weeks old. This is the one who is a little behind in growth when compared to the rest, but all 4 of my roos are less developed.

Funny! I was thinking that out of 4, the odds were in our favor to get 2 pullets, right? Looks like not. Upon further inspection, 3 of the chicks have combs that are larger and more red than the 4th. Perhaps I will end up with one pullet?

The one suspected pullet has been different from the others since we got the chicks. Louder, more flock oriented and more b!tchy!

I didn't realize they were giving out roosters or we wouldn't have taken them and gotten attached! Bummer. :(
Yeah, 50% chance of getting pullets on straight run chicks. The large combs aren't 100% accurate when sexing chicks. But those 3 I would guess are Roos. Also look for big feet, large leg bone with a bigger leg joint, and the way they hole themselves. All my roosters are holding themselves more upright, holdig thier head higher than the hens. hey also spare a lot.
