Hi Everyone,
My wife and I have recently moved to New Brunswick and decided that since we have just over an acre of property that we'd like to have some feathered friends. We have some barred rock pullets ordered and are looking forward to having them join the family.
I have (mostly) built a coop from scratch. I read a book or two on "essential components" of a coop and worked my own design from there. This website has been a great resource so far.
One thing I've noticed about the site is that there is a vast difference/mixing of opinions which has its benefits and downfalls. While there is a lot of contradicting information, it is all very well intended and the best part is that usually "everyone is right" even if they are saying different things! I've found that finding information that fits my situation (family pets/location/climate/materials) and applying the solution that "I" like best has been very helpful.
I look forward to interacting with you all!
