Hi there

Recently purchased 4 bantums (2 pekings, 1 poland hen & 1 poland rooster)

Kind of an impulse decision but seems to be working out okay.

The only concern I have is that one of the pekings isn't eating and seems very lethargic, uninterested in anything but roosting and has a sneeze.

any help and ideas would be greatly appreciated

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sorry about your bird, hope it recovers.

welcome. if you have a sick chicken and an extra pen, you may want to seperate her/him from the rest to prevent any further sickness and give them time to recoop.

It's wise to separate the sick one from the others - in case she has something contagious and to let her recuperate in peace, without having other birds walk all over her. She should have a warm, quiet place to keep stress down. She may be tempted to eat with finely mashed hard boiled egg or some plain yogurt. A little sugar in her water might encourage her to drink.

When posting on the emergencies thread please list all symptoms you can think of, how long she has been this way, age etc. Hope you will get a diagnosis and suggestions for treatment.

Cheers people :)

Posted up in the emergencies section so hopefully someone can help
