Thank you. Yes- and thankfully all the chickens were already outside- they were only 10-11 weeks old when it happened. I am hoping so as well! Once winter is over everything will seem better!

We are all looking for winter to end birds go off laying with the shorter days now the winter solstice has passed we are getting eggs again.. Fire is everyone's fear heat lamps are horrible for that.. Once birds have have feathers they do not need heat

Thanks to the great people here we learned we lost most of our flock to a Teflon coated bulb. Their bulb broke and my husband had one of these in his work van we thought we could use until we got another red one. I thought it being shatter resistant was a bonus. Turns out it releases toxins that killed most of our flock. I’m horrified, heartbroken, embarrassed, and mad at myself for being so clueless- I hope our error can save someone else the same tragic result.
