Hi, my name is David and I have 6 new pullets that are sexlinks. They have really grown and I think they are very close to egg laying. They were all hatched and raised together. They have been really tame and they get along with one another well. However, I have noticed that today a few of them have been sparing off at each other. Is that normal, are they going to hurt each other?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens! We are glad you joined the flock!:frow BYC is a helpful site providing all the information you need to know about poultry! It's definitely the pecking order, they usually establish it right before egg-laying. Red Sex Links are more prone to pecking than other breeds too. Hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do!
