New To Chicken's

Hello people, 6702s on the site hoping to learn about chicken's. You see about 3 or 4 month ago there was a chicken in my yard. I asked around the neighborhood to see if it had an owner. No one claimed the chicken so I took it under my wing, (no pun intended). It's just a backyard chicken who does as she wants, but right now she's brooding. She is sitting on 14 eggs so she came out to eat and drink one day and I told my friends to get the eggs while I keep her company. My friends put the eggs in a basket so I took some and shook them. They were dry. The chicken went back to her brooding site and came out screaming. I felt sorry for her so I put 2 eggs back with her. I don't know what to do so can anyone please help me here.

How long after she showed up did she start sitting on that nest? Did you candle any of the eggs your took from her to see if they were developing? If they are viable, give them back to her and let her finish what she started.
