Hello! Will be a new chicken owner soon. 12 days until they hatch. Coop is built and have brooder supplies until they are big enough. Starting with 8 Easter Eggers but I already know I want more of some different breeds! Any feedback or tips on the Easter Eggers? Keeping for the eggs. Thanks for any advice in advance!

Hi there, welcome to the chicken club! Good thing you are set up in advance. The main advice I could give you is to make sure your chickens have plenty of room so they do not develop problems and to also make sure and keep things as clean as possible, including their food and water. Those are the two things I could advise you on to keep your chickens as happy and healthy as possible!

Welcome to our FUNomenal Flock! :wee
Best Wishes & Be Well! :)
I have several Easter Eggers in my flock.....they are some of my sweetest gals! Plus, they decorate my egg basket with beautiful blue and green eggs....however, I do have an EE that lays brown eggs.

I am excited about the colored eggs and brown is ok too! I did alot of research and found that Easter Eggers seem to fit what I was looking for and I like that they can be variety of colors as well. Thanks for the response!

I think I have made sure that they have plenty of room because that has been one of my biggest concerns. I will also be cleaning daily or more if needed. I want them to have as healthy a start as possible! Thanks for your response!
