I plan on keeping 10 Hens and MAYBE one rooster.

Yeah. I said that too... I now have 30 chickens including a rooster, two cockerels, 5 bantams and lots of mixed breeds from breeding the flock. Wait until you let your first broody hatch. You're doomed.
You live in the country and there's no stopping you. You may as well build a huge coop and run NOW and be prepared for it.

@DobieLover I think many of us here have had similar plans with only having a small flock and that too was twenty birds ago! I agree, build a big coop to start with over having to keep adding on for more poultry.
