barred rock, black maran, I don't know the other ones. Special to me

They are entertaining and I like the eggs. We name our chickens

gardening, reading, fixing things (not so much a hobby as a necessity)

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Retired nurse have 10 month old puppies, I live on about 1.1 acres that our 2 goats have the run of most of our land.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community
I just found you on Facebook. I need information, and currently I'm dealing with a prolapsed vent😢

Thank you. I'm close to Sacramento Ca. Sold my condo in the bay area and moved to a little farm. Lately they have been braking into my winter garden and strawberry patch. We are getting more chicken wire to fix it today.

Your flock size is very manageable. And you will be have a beautiful colored egg basket. Welcome Peggy
