(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I got my first chicks May 5th, 2025.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 14 chicks that seem to vary by about plus or minus two weeks
(3) What breeds do you have?
6 Silkies, 1 Polish, 1 brown Brahma, 3 Light Brahmas, Nlack Australopithecus, and Silver-Laced Wyandotte
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Companionship and fresh eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, acquiring new hobbies
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Plant grower by education, Math and reading Interventionist by trade, Mother to 4 boys two dogs and a bunch of fish and chickens
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have recently joined the FB group for BYC. I found this thread through Google.
