New to Chickens

I just started out. I built a pen off some ideas on here and then some other ideas I am still working on. We still have to add some more nesting boxes. I have 2 Rhode Island Reds and the rest are Barred Rock total of 11 chickens. I have two nesting boxes but still need more. I am getting eggs but not sure what breed is laying them they are brown and little about the size of a 50 cent piece, but they are getting there. Living in Texas as well in the city so they are enclosed not able to walk all around the yard but seem to really like it.

Hi and

RIRs lay brown eggs. I'm not sure about barred rocks. I heard something about speckled eggs...?
I live in the city too, the chooks don't mind being enclosed so much as long as they have somewhere to scratch around.

Anyway, don't hesitate to ask questions and enjoy the site.
