We just brought our 6 newest family members home today. They all seem healthy except for one and we are feeding it the electrolyte supplement with a dropper for now. Any other suggestions from the experts? We started this endeavor to stop going to the store to buy inferior eggs and to get more satisfaction out of what we can accomplish. We are going all out and have a full production urban garden as well. Its great there is a site that allows us newbies to ask questions and not feel like dummies! Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello and welcome to BYC

There are a few section here you can look at for answers to your questions. I will list them below, but first let me say: Congrats! And welcome to the chicken world! The electrolyte supplement should help the little one recover and you can also try some sugar water to give it a boost. If you need help pop in at the section I linked below and ask. We're here to help!

Thank you sumi for your help. I tried adding a little sugar to the water and she drank it right up. She seems to be more alert and even pecked a few crumbs. So hopefully by tomorrow she will be ok.
