Looking forward to gleaning much information from you chicken husdandry experts. My first attempt was a disaster thanks to a band of coons. A new hen house(Palace) is under construction and nearing completion. Chicks arrive in May.

So sorry about your first flock! Those coons can be just awful. But wow, nice coop! That is how you have to do it when you have predators. Needs to be built like fort knox.
