Hi,
I live in Massachusetts and am new to chickens, but we did the math and it is more cost effective to have chickens and feed them to obtain eggs than to purchase them from the store and in the end we will also have meat. My daughter mad about that. We are planning a flock of 30 birds semi free range (only when we out with them). I look forward to reading the posts and obtaining knowledge in this site.
