Welcome, Tom!!! I'm new to BYC also and have had the same problems out at the farm. Seems like the hens focus in on one or two and the fights begin. This seems to happen when they have "cabin fever" mostly. We've got a couple now that have "monkey butt" from having tail feathers pecked. I've tried "chicken jail" but they always remember the ones being bullied when placed back in the flock. I believe you have done well by rehoming since they will continually bully that hen.
Anyway, best of luck on your chicken adventure. You'll have fun, frustration, and yes, sometimes some sadness, but all in all...it's great. You'll find lots of great help and ideas at BYC to help you along.

Welcome to BYC!!! I haven't been on here very long myself but I found out everyone is quite friendly and have a lot of knowledge. Even though I am on the lowest of pecking order, I haven't been pecked on yet.
