Yes, those size 13 feet are a dead give away. Nice looking chickens though!

Likely the best thing for all would be to harvest them for meat, if you don't want to then let someone else. Then get some new chicks for pets that you can have for years, a mix of breeds is always fun.

It may be possible to prolong your Xrocks for a while by restricting feed but they won't be happy about it, also as mentioned the hen is going to be mauled to death and the fighting between the others will be a major problem too. Leg problems and heart problems also likely to show up.

Could they be talking columbian rocks, then those are good heavy dual purpose. More for meat than laying, but should be fairly layed back and decent laying through winter.

I dunno. I just talked to her over the phone she said the lady at southern states told her spanish rocks...she said its a mix of different breeds? I dunno.. could she be lying to me since I know nothing lol

Lab Mama - Those are some nice looking Cornish X's, Congrats! Just so you know in my area you could take those to an auction and get 8 - 10 bucks a piece for them.

No offense either but I think they are taking advantage of you if they're trading random made up mutt-chicks for those /fine/ looking cornish X's. As someone said above - you could easily get twice the amount of those chicks' worth. I sell SQ D'uccle chicks here for $3 but people would pay $10 easy for my pig-birds or even the roosters of those D'uccles. Age adds a LOT to the worth of a bird due to feed costs and casualties along the way. Chicks are a dime a dozen, but get them to their purposes size and you've got it made.

thanks yall! Im debating on what to do...I want to just keep them there beautiful & sweet & I love them...but I cant kill them & if I got someone to kill them for me I wouldnt eat them lol & also I dont know of any upcoming auctions or chicken swaps

I agree. You can easily get $10 each for them.

I would definitely not trade for "Spanish Rocks" --which are not a breed. They could well be exactly what you've just had. With the money you get for the CornishX, you can get some really nice pure breed chicks, not some random mutt.
