is this it? The feed store was unfamiliar with eight I wash this is all they had

Ms. Maddy is doing better today but her eye is still milky. I let her out and she is swimming normal. I don't think she can see out of her eye though. She can't see me from that side when I spray it and she bumps the side of her house on that side when she is walking. She is eating fine and drinking as usual.

I wonder if what your seeing is the third eye lid? Hopefully it will clear up with time and spray. When you examined the eye closely could you see any kind of puncture or wound?

Here is a photo I made tonight when putting them in the pen. I let her out today to forage for a few hours and she swam around in the pond a little and she wasn't leaning toward her right anymore (which is her injured eye side) it appears that she cannot see out of that eye. She keeps her good eye toward me and seem a little more skiddiah than usual. I am spraying her eye 3 times a day with the Vetericyn plus spray. Should I try anything else? She is eating and drinking normally. But spending more time in her house when in the pen.

Hard to say what may have happened to her eye. Best thing to do now is watch for infection. using the Veterycin spray is about the only thing I would know to do except order some Terramycin eye ointment on line. The eye doesn't look like it's runny or closing up so those are good signs. She may not get her sight back though hard to say at this point, but sounds like she is working that out too with not leaning like she was. Birds are amazing how they can over come and adapt.

We can't put the blame solely on the drake either she may have poked her eye with as stick or run into something when foraging, just hard to know with out actually seeing what happened. But looks like your doing a good job with her.

How is the hunt for more females going? @cowetatina
