New to Ducks...maybe Im crazy BUT....do you name them?

Geronimo (or Gerry for short)-Muscovy
Momma-Muscovy
Zena-Muscovy
Lucille-Muscovy
Queen-Muscovy
Decoy-Rouen
Gypsy-Rouen
Draco-Black Swedish
Drucilla-Black Swedish
Spidey-Silver Appleyard- His 3 wives don't have names because I can't tell them apart.

Howard-Pekin- His 5 wives don't have names anymore either because I can't tell them apart.

Eddie (Blue Penciled Runner)
Blue Girl (Blue Runner)
French Fry (Fawn & White Runner)
Raven (Black Runner)
Peanut (Crested Runner Buff Cross?)
Fluffy (Runner Rouen Cross?)

It's funny, but we never really thought about the names for our ducks. They just naturally came to have names. One of us would start calling one of them something and it would stick. I like to tell people they tell US what they want to be called.

yeah know what you mean, I have one duckling that is Pekin and is larger than the other one, and I tend to stare at him...think its a drake ....and when I watched private practice, I said thats it!!!! His name is COOPER!...so thats how he got the first name and the others arent name....kind of looks like a COOPER if that makes sense.

DH wants to name the little mallard, RACER because of the stripes on his/her eyes and it runs fast...I dont like that name....and besides, there my ducks!!!

DH is the one that says, why name them....

I sure would!!! So far I only have one named, COOPER...the big pekin

If you don't name them .... how can you expect them to come home at night without calling their name(s) - luckily for me I can can "Quackidoodie" and 15 Indian Runners come home immediately - that is apart from Bonnie and Clyde my first Indian Runners....!!!

My Muscovy ducks are: Elvis, Julia, Duckles 1, 2 and 3

Barbary ducks are: Rossi, Cyril and Stripes

Geese respond to "Bosses boys and girls - home now!"

Chickens have individual names but as I have so many now I won't bore you with their names... my neighbours are amazed that when I call them to come to me, they respond!

I love them all!!!

When I had six I named em all. Got over 80 now. I named all of them my babies

Let's see: Not sure what our 4 mallards names are - One drake & 3 hens - DD named them from characters in the Kill Bill movies...she can tell me who is who and I am clueless LOL
DuckDuck - runner
Shanghai, Beijing and I cannot remember the other two names DD also named them - 2 of our four pekins
Wobbles - new duckling from TSC this month
Other three ducklings are nameless for now.

Naming them is the best part! I let friends and family name some too which is kinda fun
