It's great to have you here! I used to have horses and hope to get ducks one of these days when we finally move back to the country. I've been doing a bit of research myself and came across this old thread, but it's still helpful:

I'd love to know where you found out how to sex ducklings... I would really appreciate if you could possibly share a link... might need to know that in the future!

I have a breeder who raises Indian runners, and she is pretty darned good at vent sexing them as youngsters -- long, long before their voices and drake feathers give it away.

However, even she gets it wrong once in a while -- it's an art not a science, and I have one extra drake to prove it. Lane, however, is a beautiful boy and even though she offered to trade him for another hen, I kept him.
